Hair Replacement Systems for Women Choices

When most women realize that they have started losing hair, they are very devastated. It is especially difficult for women as most cultures do not socially accept women with bald heads. Men have the option of shaving the head but for women this is typically not even considered a option. Especially since women do have alternatives to choose from that can help restore or replace lost hair. If you are looking to restore not only your hair but your confidence, self esteem and also boost your personal relationship, below is some of the hair replacement for women choices.

The main reasons why most women go for hair replacement is to restore confidence, boost self esteem as you won’t be worrying about how you look all the time It will also help you in your career as you will not worry what people may be thinking.

Topical solutions as a hair replacement system for women

There are topical medicines like Rogaine (minoxidil) which is rubbed twice daily on your scalp and may give reasonable results. Do not expect an overnight miracle for most of the hair loss treatments to take effect and restore your hair you have to use them for at least 6 months to see even minimal results. Do not be scammed by unscrupulous dealers that sell a magic pill that will restore your hair overnight. As you wait for your results you may want to consider having a temporary back up plan so that you are not disappointed when you do not get desired results.

Side effects for this type of hair replacement system for women
There definately are side effects when using topical medicines, like dizziness, rapid heartbeat, chest pains, sudden weight gain, scalp irritation, swollen hands and feet. The biggest side effect is once the medicine is stopped hair loss will return.

Custom or premade hair pieces and wigs are a popular hair replacement systems for women especially if other alternatives like transplant is not an option. If you decide to use this choice it is important to note that synthetic hair has a very limited life span, lasting only a few months when wearing on a constant basis, especially if it hits and rubs against the shoulders. Natural human hair is much more appealing, realistic and longer lasting.

To boost and stimulate hair growth, massage your scalp regularly. Massaging stimulates the hair follicles to grow since it unclogs oil glands that were previously blocked. A combination of carrier oils like jojoba and grape seed can be daily massaged on the scalp, these oils have no side effects although some people may be prone to allergy.

  • Cindycut gives great advice! I know that this can be really overwhelming and this information is helping it not be that way for me.

  • I have notice my hair thinning for a few years. Nothing too drastic, but enough that I decided to do some research into what to do about it. I'm going to try the tip you mentioned here, massage in jojoba and grape seed oil each day. Thanks!

  • Other than wigs, I never really thought about actual hair replacement for woman. Wigs are nice because you can do so much with a few of them, but getting some actual hair back on your head, that would be a better option I think.

  • I think wigs are a great option. I have a friend who has several even though she is not losing her hair. She loves the option of completely changing her look whenever she likes. One day she’s blond with a bob cut, and the next she has cute curls. Wigs can be fun. I guess it’s all in your attitude.
