It’s Not About Them
It’s About You. What many don’t understand about replacement hair systems is that the client- the patient, isn’t looking to become someone they’re not and fooling the folks around them. It’s not what the concept is about. In fact, most clients of hair replacement systems are looking for one thing- and that’s a reconnection with themselves. Our culture is based upon standards, which in order to feel a part of includes developing a solid sense of ‘self.’ For clients utilizing custom hair pieces, the focus is on a return to the personality and image they once were, and that often means a full head of hair. With aging, and a whole host of scalp and skin diseases, hair can begin to lose its strength, and the follicles begin to dry up and become a wasteland. This subtle but steady change over time unfortunately allows a person to witness their own mortality, and the path that we all must eventually take. Many come prepared to watch this final trek, but there are those lucky few who realize the inevitable doesn’t need to occur. That’s where replacement hair therapy comes into place. The client isn’t looking out for what others are thinking- but rather how they make themselves feel. Just as a woman who wears sexy clothing is building and expressing her own sense of attraction, a man or woman looking to fulfill their head of hair is expressing their own value of self-worth. The next time you come across a friend, co-worker, or loved one who is missing more than a few strands of hair on their head and is lamenting about their appearances, remind them that life is about their own sense of self-worth. Tell them their appearance is up to them, and should they have question, you know where you can send them for answers, Cindycut.
